Affirmator was inspired by Norman Vincent Peale's book, The Power of Positive Thinking. Get a copy, it's a great read. Peale also wrote a number of other insprirational and motivational books and they make great sources of affirmations and quotes. There are numerous other books and web sites with material you can use. Use the search box on the Affirmations page to find them.

You've probably heard sayings like, "your are what you eat" and "you are what you read". Well, "you are what you repeat". Think about it, when you're learning your alphabet, you repeat the abc song. When you learn the multiplication tables, you repeat them over and over. The same process works for training your body for sports. In football, you repeat the same plays over and over until they become second nature. When you first start memorizing these things, you may not believe them, they are not part of you, but after you repeat them enough times, they become an integral part of you. So, if you're trying to change the way you feel or develop a new trait, find ways to repeat it.

An affirmation is a statement of your belief in something. It can be something as simple as "I am happy" to a complex philosophical statement about religion or politics.

There are good sites out there that will send you the thought of the day or the quote of the day, but you'll only look at that one time. You can take that inspirational quote, prayer, or affirmation and repeat it throughout the day by using Affirmator.

You can use Affirmator for more than just personal use. If you are the leader of a group, be it a business or religious one, you can host the messages your group sees on your server. Try the Remote Affirmations Trial list to see how it works.
